Glasvezel-pigtails — afwerking door lassen
Korte kabels aan de ene kant voorgeconnectoriseerd, met kale vezel aan de andere kant. Worden door fusielassen op de hoofdkabel gelast om een SC-, LC- of FC-connector toe te voegen.

FAQ — Glasvezelaccessoires
1Wat is het verschil tussen APC (groen) en UPC (blauw)?
APC (Angled Physical Contact): vlak gepolijst op 8°, retourverlies ≥ 60 dB. Standaard voor FTTH en gevoelige analoge signalen.
UPC (Ultra Physical Contact): vlak oppervlak, retourverlies ≥ 50 dB. Voldoende voor klassieke digitale verbindingen.
Absolute regel: sluit nooit een APC aan op een UPC — risico op beschadiging van beide ferrules.
2Simplex of duplex koppeling: hoe kiezen?
Simplex: één enkele vezel (BiDi, PON, FTTH punt-naar-punt verbindingen). Duplex: twee vezels (Tx + Rx gescheiden, Ethernet-standaard). De meeste switches en SFP-modules gebruiken LC duplex.
3Welke PLC-splitter verhouding kiezen voor mijn project?
Bereken uw optisch budget (uitgezonden vermogen – ontvangergevoeligheid – kabelverliezen) en controleer of het verlies van de splitter erin past:
- 1:2 (~3,5 dB): test, dubbele aansluiting.
- 1:4 (~7 dB): klein gebouw, MKB.
- 1:8 (~10,5 dB): middelgroot gebouw, campus.
- 1:16 (~13,5 dB): dichte FTTH — controleer of uw OLT voldoende marge heeft.
4Heeft u een lasapparaat nodig om een pigtail te installeren?
Ja. Een pigtail wordt door fusielassen (elektrische boog) op de kale vezel van de hoofdkabel gelast. Lasverlies < 0,05 dB — dit is de standaardmethode op alle telecomprojecten.
5Hoeveel vezels kan een aansluitkast bevatten?
Elfcam wandkasten: 2 tot 12 vezels. 19" rack-platen: tot 24 poorten. Voor een hogere dichtheid, raadpleeg onze rack-oplossingen.
6Zijn de Elfcam koppelingen compatibel met alle patchpanelen?
Ja. Standaard uitsparingen SC simplex, LC duplex, FC en ST — compatibel met alle panelen, kasten en platen die voldoen aan internationale normen (IEC 61754, TIA-604).
7SC, LC, FC, ST — welke gebruiken?
- SC: meest voorkomend in FTTH en converters (push-pull, robuust).
- LC: standaard in switches, SFP en moderne netwerkapparatuur (compact, hoge dichtheid).
- FC: instrumentatie, industriële omgevingen, kritieke verbindingen (geschroefd).
- ST: oude standaard, nog aanwezig in bepaalde bestaande installaties (bajonet).
